Manufacturing Production Positions
All shifts and continuous operations
Primary job responsibility is to function as part of a team operating wire manufacturing machinery in assigned manufacturing area. All associates are expected to exhibit and support the development of a culture that identifies safe, quality production as number one goal.
Primary requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Must be able to exhibit clear vision at 20 inches or less; and exhibit clear vision at 20 feet or more.
· Must be able to identify and distinguish colors.
· Must be able to exhibit solid peripheral vision; observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point.
· Must be able to exhibit solid depth perception; three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships.
· Must be able to adjust visual focus; adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
· Must be able to obtain forklift license.
· Routinely required to lift objects up to 25 pounds; and occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during course of a workday.
· Routinely required to push and pull objects up to 100 pounds; and occasionally may be required to push and pull moderately heavy objects (up to 500 pounds) and perform other similar actions during course of a workday.
· Must pass a physical and drug test.
· Must be at least 18 years old with a HS Diploma or GED.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Coordination of daily inventory management and logistics functions within a computerized distribution operations environment.
· Exhibits and supports the development of a culture that identifies safe, quality production as number one goal.
· Schedules shipments according to established guidelines to ensure that delivery is made by promised dates.
· Receives orders and assigns shipments to proper carriers.
· Utilizes data supplied by BPCS to monitor inventory levels, receiving, replenishment, and orders-on-hand.
· Provides assistance to customer service representatives concerning order status and special customer needs.
· Acts as an expediter to resolve delivery problems.
· Analyzes flaws in procedures and suggests system modifications to shipping and receiving supervisor.
· Acts, under the direction of the shipping and receiving supervisor, to implement improvements to the distribution system.
Candidates for this position will be evaluated based on the following qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, computer science, transportation, or related field; required.
· Two to five years experience in a transportation industry, handling shipments and learning the use of the computerized distribution system; preferred.
· Knowledge of export regulations and procedures; preferred.
· Knowledge of office procedures and equipment, including computers; required.
· Knowledge of transportation application software; preferred.
· Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances, statutes, regulations, rules, policies and procedures; preferred.
· Skill in oral communications and in establishing and maintaining effective work relationships with other employees and the general public; required.
· Advanced skill in Microsoft Office products, Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word; required.
· Skill in business management software solutions such as BPCS; preferred.
· Skill in preparing and maintaining accurate information, records, reports and files; required.
· Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions; required.
· Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards; required.
